We just went into the alpha Overseer bossfight. When it was on half health, it just turned into a little metal ball that started projecting planets and a big bubble started to come up. To ascend without beating The Overseer, just do “playercommand Ascend1” (Without the quotes) Don’t bother with ghillie/fur armour, it’s about 130F in the cave and -15F in the overseer’s lair.
